Colin & Hannah’s Bathroom: Mock Roman Blind

Hannah had bought some beautiful raspberry-patterned fabric and asked us to make a Mock Roman Blind for the smallest room. We lined the fabric and provided a new blind to dress up the bathroom window just as she and Colin liked it.

The choice of Mock Roman Blind is ideal for smaller windows, where you need a decorative blind without any need to pull it up and down.

Coupled with Hannah’s stylish details and choice of colours, the blind looks fantastic on the little bathroom window.

Vinyl Mock Roman Blind

We were asked to make up a Mock Roman Blind to dress a small bathroom window. Our customer had bought some vinyl in a delicate blue with a lovely white polka dot.

To make the blind up so it hung properly, we used a fabric tape to achieve the correct spacing of the folds, as you can see in the photograph.

Finally, we used a track to mount the roman blind, which made fixing the blind above the bathroom window as simple as possible.

We’re delighted to report that the customer is delighted with her new blind!

Chris’ Kitchen, Roman Blinds in Milnrow

We seem to have a few customers called Chris!

Chris’s kitchen window is quite wide, so he chose two Roman Blinds in a lovely striped fabric to complement his kitchen design.

Roman Blind, Worthing – Rebecca’s Oilcloth Blind

Rebecca wanted a Roman Blind made from oilcloth – fabric coated in PVC to make it wipeable and giving a lovely gloss finish. She chose a beautiful Strawberry fabric from Cath Kidston which we ordered for her and made into her blind.

We hope she loves the blind, but she’s going to be busy for a while as she’s just given birth to beautiful baby girl!

Roman Blinds at Home – Sharon & Phill

The Roman Blinds in our own home are made from a chenille fabric, and presented a real challenge to make. The fabric tends to distort very easily and is much more difficult to work with than other types. We’re delighted with the results though, which lend a luxurious feel to our lounge windows and double door.

The fittings on these blinds are very traditional, with the blinds attached to wooden batons. They’re removable easily using velcro. Traditional acorns are used with brass cleats providing the fasteners.

We can make blinds in this traditional way if you prefer. Please just contact us if you’d like this option.

Chris & Sam: Roman Blinds, Royton

Chris and Sam needed a large blind to cover a kitchen window and a smaller blind for their bathroom. The first pictures show the kitchen blind, now installed above a beautiful Belfast sink. The second blind, for their bathroom, is a wonderful fabric with a similarly heavy embossed pattern.

Chris and Sam were delighted with their blinds, which are being fitted into their lovely farmhouse.
